Towards Spring

As I was beginning to look forwards to spring, I went out and about to see if mother nature was too, expecting the first flowers and some inquisitive insects.

But apart from that one little blue flower which, not unlike me, appeared to be pining for some warmer weather, it all still looked very much wintry. In fact, the aftermath of some recent, hostile weather could still be witnessed in places. So I shifted my interest to a derelict railway instead.
